What is the Gravity Globe for?

Is the Gravity Globe meant for mainly a for fun accessory? I can see it being useful in some boss fights and events but being an Expert Mode Moon Lord drop it should be useful. However, if Moon Lord or 1.3 is the last for Terraria than I can see the Gravity Globe being just a fun accessory. Its just that if 1.3 is the last than I would have liked for Expert Moon Lord to drop something that is a bit OP. Maybe an OP armor set or weapon(s).

This role play is about being kings and queens, or guards or knights, or princes or princesses, of a certain biome! You may pick any biome you like. To be a King or queen you must ask me first.
The kingdoms may have alliances or rivalries. For ex. The corruption & crimson might have an alliance, because they both hate the Hallow and Pure. You can backstab other kingdoms. For ex. The Hallow may promise not to take any Purity land but will little by little. I'll start.

So, I've beaten every (non-event) boss up to golem, whom I beat 5 times to gather enough for a set of beetle armour. Now comes the hardest 1.2.4 boss (even though it's 1.3, but still) - duke fishron.

I've heard he's very deadly, and quite hard to beat, especially since you can't leave the ocean now. But anyways, rather than chance wasting my one truffle worm, I thought I'd ask you guys - am I ready?

I had played Terraria quite a bit in the past and had stopped playing about 1.2.4 due to life and work and what not. I kept seeing 1.3 being advertised and kept telling myself I would get back into it, but didn't read any of the new content. Hey guys I'm nawySAUCE and I feel as though I'm a rather entertaining person. And so I decided to start a terraria lets play. Hello reader, just a quick question, is there a way to backdate my terraria game? I would like to play a TShock server on version 1.3.0.6 but steam auto-updated my terraria to 1.3.0.7 and a can not connect. Thanks in advance.
